During a Twitter Q&A session, Neil Young engaged with his fans and inquired, “who is Bono?”.
The iconic musician made this dismissive remark about the U2 lead singer after being asked for his thoughts on the band Foster The People. A fan questioned him regarding Foster The People, mentioning that Bono expressed his fondness for them, stating, “it is surprising two superstars like them.” Young simply replied: “who is Bono?”.
In another inquiry, Young was asked if he would create more rock operas akin to his Greendale project. He answered, “anything can happen.”
Additionally, he responded to a question with a curious thought: “what would happen if you were locked alone in a room with only a jar of Nutella?”, concluding with “creative things” as his answer.
Neil Young and Crazy Horse’s latest album ‘Psychedelic Pill’ is available for streaming prior to its official launch.
Scheduled for release on October 29, ‘Psychedelic Pill’ follows the June release of ‘Americana’, a covers album. This marks Young’s first album of entirely new material with Crazy Horse since 2003.
Last weekend, Guns ‘N’ Roses, Jack Black, and surprise guest Eddie Vedder performed at Neil Young’s annual Bridge School Benefit in California.
The charity event culminated with Neil Young delivering a solo set, joined by all musical stars except Axl Rose. Collaborators included Jack White, Eddie Vedder, Mark Foster, KD Lang, Wayne Coyne, and others, who all participated in ‘Rockin’ In The Free World’.
Funds raised from the annual concert support the Bridge School in Hillsborough, California, which helps children with significant physical disabilities and complex communication requirements. Neil Young’s children, Zeke and Ben, were diagnosed with cerebral palsy in their early years.
