After being involved in a fight in Switzerland, Marilyn Manson has posted a photo of his reattached ear.
The goth rocker tweeted the picture, visible to the right of the page, mentioning to fans that he required 24 stitches to save the ear following a violent altercation where he was struck by a glass table…yet he still proclaimed victory in the brawl.
While he opted not to disclose all the details of the gruesome encounter, he stated: “In a hazardous fight, I was hit by a glass table. Nevertheless, I was the victor, but I needed 24 stitches to prevent my ear from becoming Van Goth.”
In September, reports surfaced that Charles Manson, the infamous serial killer from the 1960s, had sent an open letter to the singer, whose birth name is Brian Warner, from prison…this decision appeared to be influenced by the singer’s choice to take the latter part of his name from Manson’s surname and the first part from actress Marilyn Monroe.
The letter was largely abstract but carried a seemingly menacing tone, featuring the lines: “Beyond right and wrong, good and bad. What you don’t do is what I will do – what you did was a sing-along, letting it roll and expressing how you saved me many steps – it’s not a need or a want for me. Couped…coup. Ghost dancers slay together while you’re merely in my grave Sunstroker Corona-coronas-coronae…you’ve seen me from below with it all pressing down on me. That’s 2 dump trucks – operating the same as CMF 000007. Charles Manson.”
Despite his image, earlier this year, Marilyn Manson asserted that he is “not some kind of sexual deviant” and insisted that he is actually more conservative in the bedroom than his flamboyant persona would imply.
