Kelly Clarkson keeps going on shit dates

She was recently forced to come out and deny she is a lesbian.

But it now seems clear why singer Kelly Clarkson is rarely seen with men – she keeps ending up on horrible dates.

There has been much speculation over the years about the  American Idol winner’s sexuality, but given her dating record it is perhaps no surprise.

She said: ‘Man, I just keep going on horrible dates.

‘I’m like, “There’s not enough wine in the world for me to enjoy this.”‘

‘I actually had a guy say to me—and I hope he sees this because he is so ridiculous—he said, ‘”I can’t believe I’m on a date with Kelly Clarkson.”‘

‘And under my breath I was like, ‘”Wow, I can’t either.”‘

But despite her woes. Kelly, 29, said she is still hoping she can meet Mr Right.

The Texan said: ‘Some days I think, “I’ll meet him. Everybody finds somebody,” and other days I’m like, “Maybe I won’t. Maybe I just missed the memo.”

The revelation comes hot on the heels of her denying she favours same sex relationships.

Earlier this week she said: ”I’m from a small town, so everyone’s married with children or about to have children.

‘It’s a little hard when you go home and people are like, and that’s why people think I’m gay, because they’re like, “Why aren’t you married?”

‘And I’m like, “It doesn’t happen for everyone right off the bat!”‘

Kelly also made a another  revealing confession in the new interview – she and her band have a book club.

She said: ‘It’s not official – we’re not as cool as Oprah – but we definitely read together.

‘When people are on the road with us, they’re like, “This is the geek tour!”

‘The last book we all read was One Second After—it’s really scary. ‘

So perhaps the real reason she is not living a debauched rock and roll lifestyle on the road  is because she is too busy with the latest page turner.

She also revealed that despite being the first American Idol, she now cannot get enough of its rival show The Voice.

Kelly said: ‘I love The Voice. Blake Shelton is a friend of mine, and he’s one of the judges, so I watched it for that, and then I fell in love with the show.

‘I still watch Idol, and it’s still the number one show, so obviously I’m not the only one who loves to sit at home and be entertained.’
