Blur began work on their comeback yesterday.
And the band’s guitarist Graham Coxon was so excited to be back in the studio, he clumsily blurted out the secret details on Twitter.
The offending tweet was quickly removed and replaced with the one below, but not before it had been seen by thousands of fans.
He had teased, “Now off to see the Blur boys and maybe switch a tape recorder on. I might even get a guitar out.”
Last year, I revealed the band were reuniting behind closed doors this month. While there’s no firm plans to release material, if the sessions go well, there could be a new album.
It would be the band’s first since 2003’s Think Tank.
