Dolly Parton is excited to share that she is in the process of preparing to launch an album featuring brand new material under her own Dolly Records, to be made available globally.
On January 6th of this year, Dolly mentioned that the title of the album would be ‘Better Day’. This forthcoming record will showcase new creations from Dolly that audiences have never before experienced.
Alongside the new album, Dolly intends to go on tour to promote the release. Commencing in July of 2011, she will be touring across the United States, and from August through September, she will continue her performances throughout Europe, followed by her much-anticipated trip to Australia around September/October.
Following the unexpected passing of Michael Jackson, with whom Parton had a personal connection, she shared a video expressing her heartfelt sentiments regarding Jackson and his demise.
On October 27, 2009, Parton unveiled a 4-CD box set named “Dolly,” encompassing 99 songs that highlight the majority of her career. She is also preparing to launch her second live DVD and album, titled “Live From London,” in October 2009, recorded during her sold-out concerts at London’s O2 Arena in 2008. Furthermore, she is actively developing a dance-oriented album dubbed “Dance with Dolly,” which she aims to release in 2010. Her longtime friend Billy Ray Cyrus, the singer of Brother Clyde, launched their self-titled debut album on August 10, 2010, featuring Parton on the track “The Right Time,” which she co-wrote alongside Cyrus and Morris Joseph Tancredi.
At 65, she continues to perform live, maintaining her remarkably distinctive country voice, and, of course, her notable figure will forever remain a topic of conversation.
