Damon and Noel share a public cuddle…aah

Finally, it appears that Damon Albarn and Noel Gallagher have put their past conflicts to rest after many years of discord.

Following the Brits on Tuesday, the Britpop legends were seen embracing and sharing drinks, signaling an end to their previously contentious relationship.

On a boat in the Thames, rented by their label EMI for the after-party, they enjoyed each other’s company.

“It’s amusing to think that Blur was last here 17 years ago when we were fierce competitors,” Damon remarked. “Isn’t it interesting how we’ve both softened over the years? We’ve finally buried the hatchet.”

At the awards ceremony, both artists had performances, with Blur receiving the Outstanding Contribution award, whereas Noel did not win any accolades despite being nominated for Best Male Solo Artist. Earlier this year, it was reported that the two met in a bar, where they reconciled while looking back at their achievements from the 1990s.

“It was quite a moment,” Gallagher reflected. “We haven’t shared the same space for perhaps 10 or 15 years.”

Noel, who is set to be honored as Godlike Genius at the upcoming NME Awards, also mentioned his desire to collaborate with his former rival, expressing admiration for how the Blur and Gorillaz frontman effortlessly adapts to various musical styles.
