Daft Punk new single is something special

Excitement fills Fatboy Slim as he reacts to the French band Daft Punk’s highly anticipated comeback single, ‘Get Lucky’.

He believes that their collaboration with Nile Rodgers from Chic, Pharrell Williams, and Giorgia Moroder on ‘Random Access Memories’ has resulted in what he calls the last great supergroup album.

He shared, “Their music truly impresses me. It feels like a refreshing breeze of old school vibes. I’m thankful that Daft Punk has given us all a much-needed wake-up call. Their sound is both simple and melodic. They stand as the last remarkable dance music supergroup you’ll experience.”

Norman Cook, known by his stage name Fatboy Slim, further expressed that Daft Punk’s latest record has inspired him so much that it has dissuaded him from pursuing a new album of his own.

Last week, it was announced that Daft Punk’s new single ‘Get Lucky’, featuring Pharrell Williams on vocals, has shattered Spotify records by becoming the most streamed song within a 24-hour span in both the UK and the US. ‘Random Access Memories’, which includes appearances from Julian Casablancas, Todd Edwards, Panda Bear, Chilly Gonzales, and Nile Rodgers, is set to be released on May 20.
