Christopher Lee to release heavy metal album

Christopher Lee, who is 90 years old, and has featured in films such as The Hobbit, Lord Of The Rings and Star Wars, will release ‘Charlemagne: The Omens of Death’, the follow-up to 2010’s ‘Charlemagne: By the Sword and the Cross’, on May 27, his 91st birthday.

The man who made Dracula come alive is now creating heavy metal to add to his dark persona.

The 10 track album has been arranged by Richie Faulkner, guitarist with Judas Priest, reports.

Of the release, Lee commented: “The first ‘Charlemagne’ album is metal, of course, but what I sang was more symphonic. Now on the second one, ‘The Omens Of Death’, it is 100% heavy metal. I’ve done my bits and pieces, and they are heavy metal. I’m not screaming or anything like that, but it is definitely heavy metal.”

The ‘Charlemagne: The Omens Of Death’ tracklisting is:

‘The Portent’
‘Charles The Great’
‘The Siege’
‘Massacre Of The Saxons’
‘Dawning Of A New Age’
