Billy Corgan, the front-man of Smashing Pumpkins, has a deep passion for professional wrestling.
As fans of SP hope for a potential band reunion, Billy’s focus is directed elsewhere. He has invested a significant amount of money into TNA (Total Non-stop Wrestling), which is the second-largest wrestling organization in America.
The TNA has been losing numerous wrestlers to its more prosperous competitor, WWE. However, just recently, Billy Corgan sought a temporary injunction against the TNA, which was denied. This meant that any major business decisions or sales involving the company would need Billy’s approval.
Although TNA remains operational, its future is uncertain and could collapse at any time.
As mentioned, Billy has lent the company a considerable sum of money. Should TNA fail to meet repayment obligations, legal action may ensue.
Given the current circumstances, a Smashing Pumpkins reunion seems unlikely… yet, stranger things have happened.
