Bieber given a month to collect pet monkey

A month has been allotted to Justin Bieber to supply the necessary documents to German authorities for the release of his pet monkey, “Mally”.

Bieber monkeyLast week, customs officials seized Bieber’s capuchin monkey at Munich Airport after the 19-year-old did not present the required health and species protection certificates needed to bring the pet into Germany.

Bieber had traveled to Munich to perform a concert and has since carried on with his tour.

“The animal will be taken to an appropriate shelter with experience in rearing groups of young capuchin monkeys if he fails to provide the necessary papers, ensuring that disoriented Mally can become a healthy little capuchin,” stated the shelter currently looking after the monkey.

According to the shelter, Mally, approximately 14 weeks old, was taken away from its mother prematurely and is currently receiving veterinary attention.

A representative from Munich’s customs office indicated that a decision on whether to keep the animal at the current shelter or relocate it would be made at the conclusion of the four-week period.

He also mentioned that Bieber would likely face a fine, though he refrained from specifying the amount.
