If you are like me, you understand that the love and devotion your pet provides is a significant aspect of your life. After being isolated at home for three weeks, I find myself longing for the pets of my children and grandchildren.
When I used to visit them, I was joyfully greeted at the door by plenty of barking and purring – they recognized me and expressed their affection.
The longer this isolation continues (who can say for how long), the more I fear that the pets will gradually forget me.
I miss them all…even the dragon and the snake. You might think they are devoid of feelings, but they recognize me when I hold and cuddle them.
One aspect of the Virus that often goes unconsidered is the separation of the elderly from their beloved pets.
Keep in mind that your furry friend is merely a phone call away.
