Men victims are guilty

A new study has revealed that thousands of men who assert they are victims of domestic violence are, in fact, perpetrators of abuse against their wives.

It was found that one in five husbands who reached out to a helpline were actually the aggressors rather than the victims.

Many of these men exploit minor injuries sustained from their partners defending themselves to evade prosecution.

Following a significant increase in the number of abused husbands, a network of ‘safe houses’ for male victims was established last year.

However, a survey indicated that up to 500,000 of these ‘beaten’ men may be insincere, obstructing efforts to achieve justice for true victims of domestic violence.

A representative from the Battered Wives Group Trust stated, “False allegations create challenges for all men and women who are genuinely affected.”
