Kissing koala is a breath of fresh air

A devoted koala, enchanted by affectionate kisses from a charming cafe owner, visits her weekly for a memorable after-hours smooch.

Eddie and Lucy

For the last month, Eddie has been wooing Lucy Ziwiski at her residence in Noosa, located on the Sunshine Coast.

To greet her, he planted a kiss, and since that day, he has returned to the same location at least once a week for more affectionate moments.

‘Upon hearing a rustle in the nearby bushes, I decided to check it out and found this adorable koala,’ she recounted after discovering Eddie one evening upon returning from work.

‘He was quite curious and showed no fear towards me. I had never been so close to a koala before.

‘Fortunately, I recalled that I had my camera with me, so I grabbed it with my left hand and captured a photo.

‘As I did so, his lips brushed against mine; it was quite an affectionate kiss, and just a few seconds later, he scurried away.’

Now, the koala makes his weekly visits for kisses from the 36-year-old, even making an appearance on the porch of a neighbor’s house she was visiting.

‘His breath carries the scent of eucalyptus, which is very refreshing,’ she noted. ‘If only men had the same quality.’
