A secret photo function for the new iPhone and iPad has reportedly been unlocked by hackers.
Enthusiasts of gadgets assert that they have discovered a capability that enables users to capture panoramic images using the device’s camera.
Websites showcase photos demonstrating the new feature in operation on devices operating on Apple’s latest iOS5 firmware.
Additionally, some provide guidance on enabling the panoramic photo settings.
To access this feature, however, owners are required to jailbreak their device, a process that voids the warranty and, as per Apple, leads to potential instability in the product.
Users can move the phone horizontally while the camera captures several images, which are subsequently stitched together.
It is believed that Apple is still in the testing phase for this camera mode.
