For unlike the Duchess of Cambridge, whose most daring move was to walk a St Andrews university catwalk in a sheer black dress, the usually prim Shirley Leigh-Wood Oakes has posed for a risque set of pictures taken by celebrity photographer John Stoddart.
Quite what Oxford-educated classics scholar Willem, now an award-winning journalist for his war reporting, makes of the photos which show Shirley, 26, editor of eco lifestyle magazine Dare 2, sitting cross-legged on a bed wearing a black basque, stockings and a come-hither expression, is unclear.
Snapper Stoddart has shot numerous glamorous women including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Liz Hurley and Sadie Frost, whom he photographed for his Love And Lust exhibition.
