Tippi Hedren looks a million bucks

Tippi Hedren once more enchanted guests at the Magic Castle’s 50th anniversary gala in Hollywood on Wednesday.

The 82-year-old looked sprightly and fresh faced as she posed on the red carpet ahead of the evening’s entertainment.

The Birds star was clearly in a feisty mood, as she wore a leopard print jacket and a black cocktail dress.

Tippi, who is the mother of A-list actress Melanie Griffith, was not the only big name attending the show at the exclusive private member’s club though.

For fellow old campaigner Dee Wallace, who is perhaps best known for playing Elliot’s mother in E.T, wore an elegant blue floral gown for the event.

And Gilligan’s Island favourite Dawn Wells, 74, also scored highly in the fashion stakes after wearing a spangly black jacket and a white blouse.

But a gala even at the Magic Castle would not be complete without its flamboyant president Neil Patrick Harris.

And the 39-year-old How I Met Your Mother star did not disappoint, and looked rather magical himself in a dapper black suit.

Just to make the night even more memorable, Superstar of Magic Seigfried Fischbacher of Siegfried and Roy fame was one of the other guests of honour.

The Magic Castle opened its doors in January, 1963 as the home of the Academy of Magical Arts, Inc. From an initial membership of 50, the Academy has grown to a worldwide membership of over 5,000 today.
