Sienna Miller may have kept the specifics of her first pregnancy private, but now her expectant figure is displayed for everyone to admire.
The 30-year-old actress chose to take inspiration from Demi Moore, proudly revealing her baby bump in an artwork by renowned artist Jonathan Yeo..
In July, only weeks prior to welcoming her daughter Marlowe, the actress decided to pose for a series of portraits that are set to be showcased in (I’ve Got You) Under My Skin at the Circle Culture Gallery in Berlin.
Displaying her fully nude form, the lifelike portrayal of the Alfie actress is adorned in gold paint, depicting her with hands positioned on her arched back, accentuating her pronounced bump.
Similar to celebrities like Demi, Jerry Hall, and Kate Moss, Sienna has opted to present her pregnant body in all its splendor to the public.
The blonde actress met the distinguished contemporary artist, known for painting figures such as Tony Blair, Nicole Kidman, and Prince Phillip, eight years ago in Los Angeles.
Since then, the two have developed a friendship, resulting in the star posing for numerous portraits for him.
Jonathan’s captivating portrait, displayed alongside works depicting cosmetic surgery, aims to challenge societal perceptions of the naked female body.
‘I sought to create an image that epitomized the human form in its most naturally beautiful essence to starkly contrast with my other pieces in this exhibition, which document individuals undergoing cosmetic procedures to align themselves with societal beauty standards,’ Jonathan states in the exhibition catalogue.
‘It has been 22 years since a pregnant Demi Moore sparked controversy by posing for Annie Leibovitz on the cover of Vanity Fair. Over this time, society has largely become desensitized to the daily sights of individuals who have surgically altered their appearances for superficial reasons,’ he elaborates.
‘Still, certain segments of society remain uneasy about the sight of pregnancy, and depictions of naked expectant mothers are seldom seen.’
The artist acknowledges that Sienna emerged as the ideal choice to represent true natural beauty: ‘The impact of the painting is partly derived from the fact that Sienna is considered one of the most naturally beautiful actresses globally and serves as a fashion inspiration for a generation of young women.
‘Her willingness to pose for this is a testament to her bravery and self-assurance.’
