It is my duty to share that Hollywood star Russell Crowe is anything but MISERABLE.
In reality, he is considered one of the most generous actors… he doesn’t even claim his gambling debts.
A member of the cast from the Bafta and Oscar-nominated film Les Miserables made a £1,000 bet with the rugby enthusiast, wagering that Wales would triumph over Australia in a rugby match.
Iwan Lewis expressed: “It wasn’t long before Wales was set to travel to Australia for their three-Test series.
“Given that Wales had secured the Grand Slam, I felt confident we would win.
“I placed a £1,000 bet with him… which holds significant value for me… and he responded, ‘I’ll take that bet’.”
Australia ended up defeating the visitors.
Iwan recounted: “I did have some concerns that he’d request payment, but instead, I received a package containing an Australian rugby shirt from him.”
Russell may be coming over to collect some awards at the BAFTAS. Perhaps he’ll stop by to collect the money then.
