In a sensational revelation, Russell Crowe has expressed his strong desire to reunite his family and criticized ‘false and cruel’ stories about his love life.
On Twitter, he voiced his frustrations after his estranged wife, Danielle Spencer, made her first appearance on social media since their split, thanking supporters and citing ‘things keeping her busy’ for her absence.
The 48-year-old actor from New Zealand tweeted, ‘My main focus after I finish this job and can return home is to attempt to reunite my family.’
He also fired back at recent claims suggesting he was ‘casually seeing’ TV food critic Katie Lee, the former spouse of Billy Joel.
‘These new reports are false & cruel,’ he remarked.
The actor recently acknowledged that his hectic filming schedule had resulted in him spending very little time with his sons, Charles and Tennyson, who are currently in Sydney.
Two weeks ago, he tweeted: ‘I’m starting on another film set tomorrow. I need to go home & spend time with my kids. It’s unbelievable how messed up my schedule has become this year.’
When a traveling salesman on Twitter related by sharing the same issue, Russell replied, ‘I understand. I haven’t seen mine since late September. Maybe 40 days with them throughout the year. It won’t happen again. Best wishes.’
Currently, Crowe is in America working on a film called Winters Tale alongside Hugh Jackman.
In the meantime, Russell criticized a newspaper for their three-star review of Les Miserables. Nothing surprising, as we all know Russell enjoys a good rant.
