Russell Brand soaks up the rays in Australia

He’s in Australia on his I Am A Walrus stand-up comedy tour.

And Russell Brand, 37, has wasted no time in taking advantage of the warm summer weather.

The comedian spent the day outside watching Australia play South Africa at cricket in Perth last week.

The star looked relaxed as he sat in a box at the WACA Ground in the city.

He wore a light brown jacket over a white T-shirt with the message “Anarchy in the U.K.” emblazoned across the front.

Russell chose to wear a pair of worn jeans which were made to look old with a number of holes in the legs.

He completed his casual look by wearing a pair of sandals and wore a grey hat on his head and hid behind a pair of dark sunglasses.

The Forgetting Sarah Marshal actor posed for a picture as they match was played and posted it on his Twitter page for his fans to see.

He wrote: “The shadowy figure is me in Perth watching cricket (a type of sport) by 22 men and 1 flying robot.”

Russell began his tour on Friday with the opening night in Adelaide before flying in to Perth for his show on Sunday.

He’s also been to Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney with the last performance taking part tomorrow.

Before arriving Down Under, Russell had been in New Zealand and has been tweeting to keep his fans up to date on his movements.

Prior to leaving the country, he wrote: “Goodbye for now NZ, sweet nation of pasture and meth, Maoris and recreational promiscuity. I’ll be back on Wellington on 13th Dec.”

The star has received great reviews for his shows in the country, with one fan telling The New Zealand Herald: “Absolutely killed it. Brand for president.”
