Rafael Van Der Vaart is on a winner with Sylvie

Ultimately, whether Rafael Van Der Vaart leads his team, Spurs, to the Champions League semi-finals may be irrelevant…as he’s undoubtedly a victor outside the pitch.

Tottenham fans will eagerly anticipate witnessing the dazzling talents of Rafael van der Vaart, following his $12 million transfer from Real Madrid, now confirmed by the Premier League. An exceptionally inventive player, he possesses a remarkable finesse, and his left foot can deliver powerful strikes.

In addition to supporting the Dutch midfielder, fans also have the chance to cheer for the glamorous football WAG, Sylvie van der Vaart.

Since 2003, Sylvie has been in a relationship with footballer Rafael van der Vaart. They tied the knot on 10 June 2005, and welcomed their son, Damián Rafael, on 28 May 2006.

Media outlets have referred to them as the “new Beckhams”; however, the couple has rejected these notions, expressing their desire to lead a more ordinary life.

On 16 June 2009, Sylvie shared the news of her breast cancer diagnosis, followed by surgery in May 2009. After completing her post-operative chemotherapy, she is now cancer-free. In summer 2009, despite interest from Real Madrid in selling Rafael van der Vaart, he chose to remain in Madrid to support Sylvie during her cancer treatment.

A year later, after moving to England, Rafael remarked, “She had a very serious illness, and it is true that she had to be treated at the Clinica Quiron. Last season, they wanted me to leave but I couldn’t leave for that reason. Now she is well, and the only thing that happened was that Madrid wanted to sell, and I wanted to get back to enjoying playing football, and Tottenham are a great team that are going to give me the football opportunities that I need.”

Should he excel in his soccer endeavors tonight, Real Madrid may not be pleased.
