Paris Hilton walks out of interview

After being asked if she was past her prime, Paris Hilton abruptly walked out of a U.S television interview.

Offended by the question, the reality TV star ended her conversation with Dan Harris of ABC News at her mansion in Los Angeles.

Her agitation began when the journalist implied that her best friend turned rival, Kim Kardashian, had overshadowed her.

He questioned, ‘Do you worry at times that people who have followed in your footsteps like Kim Kardashian are overshadowing you?’

Through clenched teeth, she responded, ‘No, not at all.’

Her irritation grew even more when the journalist brought up the disappointing ratings of her latest reality TV show, The World According to Paris.

He continued, ‘Do you worry about your moment having passed?’

Hilton, 30, glanced over at her off-camera publicist before rising from her seat and exiting in a huff.

Off-camera, her voice could be heard saying, ‘I don’t want all this being used.’

Following a ‘heated’ exchange between Harris, Hilton, and her publicist, she returned to the camera to provide what seemed to be a rehearsed response.

‘I’ve been doing this for 15 years now, so it’s been a long time, and just like any other business person or someone in the industry, it’s always important to reinvent yourself and come up with new projects,’ she stated.

Prior to that, Hilton had eagerly discussed the evolution of her career.

‘So many affluent individuals do nothing.

‘I enjoy being able to do what I want, purchase whatever I desire, and not seek permission like some of my adult friends who behave like children.’

In another segment, Hilton was questioned about the alleged stalker who was apprehended outside her residence on July 4.

‘It’s very unsettling because you never know what mindset someone like that may be in.

‘Now, he has attempted to reach out to me four times.

‘He keeps getting into trouble for it, yet he continues to return, so obviously, there’s something wrong with him.’
