Melissa Rivers, however, has shared her feelings of humiliation after uncovering that her ex-boyfriend Jason Zimmerman led a scandalous double life.
She expressed her shock upon finding the actor asleep at his computer during a live webcam session on an adult website.
Yet she confessed that her surprise deepened when she learned he had been attempting to entice swingers into sexual encounters.
She recounted: ‘I felt numb. I always told him it was okay to watch porn.
‘But to engage in conversations with these women online, that crossed a line.
‘He was flirting and forming relationships.’
This was merely the beginning, as the following day a reporter informed her that Jason had been seeking sex on Craigslist, despite his claims of never actually meeting anyone.
Melissa stated, ‘The reporter revealed that Jason wanted to have sex with a stranger and a couple he didn’t know.
It wasn’t an invitation for me to join in. It wasn’t about swinging.
‘It was solely for him—and it was humiliating.’
Currently, the producer is convinced that she has discovered true love with her boyfriend, a porn mogul.
Since last December, she has been in a relationship with Steven Hirsch, the founder of Vivid Entertainment, and her talkative comic mother supports their relationship.
Melissa remarked: ‘Porn is Steven’s profession, not his entire identity. He has a great sense of humor.’
The tumultuous relationship with her former boyfriend is a prominent storyline on her hit reality show.
A particularly heated argument that contributed to their split was filmed.
The television host and her boyfriend started to quarrel after he announced his inability to attend a family photoshoot organized by her mother.
He told her: ‘You’re so hormonal and irrational! I don’t understand why you’re upset. Just go f*** yourself!’
He then made a shocking comment regarding Melissa’s father, Edgar Rosenberg, who tragically took his own life in 1987.
He shouted at her: ‘I am not Mr. Rivers. I’m not your fucking father. I’m not going to end up like him!’
And in last night’s episode, she was seen having an explosive phone call after discovering his use of internet pornography.
