This woman, accused of breaking into Simon Cowell’s home with half a brick, is Leanne Zaloumis.
At 29 years old, she was seen previously as a fresh-faced beauty queen hopeful.
This stood in stark contrast to her appearance in court last week, where her hair was disheveled and she was dressed in a loose-fitting grey sweatshirt.
Currently, she faces charges of aggravated burglary following an incident at Cowell’s $17 million mansion in London.
The pop mogul encountered her in his bathroom, locked himself in a bedroom, and contacted the authorities.
Upon arrival, police found Zaloumis hiding on the top shelf of a walk-in wardrobe. A resident of Catford in South East London, she is set to return to court in June.
However, her half-brother, Jason Zaloumis, 36, defended her character, stating: “Leanne isn’t that kind of person. She is a remarkable and principled woman. Her well-off father raised her with love and care. She had everything she needed. We lacked for nothing.”
She hails from a distinguished family, with her grandfather being a transport tycoon and a member of the Zambian parliament, while her aunt excels in the legal profession.
Jason also noted, “Leanne was intelligent, consistently excelling academically, and she was athletic as well.”
“My father took care of her until her final high school years. After he suffered a serious accident, her mother brought Leanne and her brother back to the UK.”
