After serving just 4 and a half hours of a 30-day sentence for violating probation in cases involving jewelry theft and drunk driving, Lindsay Lohan was released from jail on Monday.
Entering the Century Regional Facility in Lynwood at 8:58 p.m. on Sunday, Lohan was freed before 2 a.m. on Monday, departing in a Cadillac Escalade driven by a chauffeur.
Officials noted that her brief time served was due to jail overcrowding and the nonviolent nature of her offense, which resulted in a sentence of less than 90 days.
Last week, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner permitted her to avoid a longer jail term, cautioning Lohan that any further mistakes could lead to additional jail time.
