It was supposed to be a glittering occasion with both reality stars hosting a special MTV New Year’s Show from Times Square.
But Jersey Shore’s Jennifer ‘JWoww’ Farley may regret choosing to wear an ultra short glittering dress for the festivities.
At one point, the 26-year-old reality show star’s blue sequinned frock hitched up to almost indecent levels, exposing a good chunk of her upper thigh.
The blue glittering dress managed to cover up JWoww’s arms but only just managed to preserve her modesty by its ultra short length.
She teamed the frock with a chic updo, sparkling jewellery and high heels.
Her castmate Snooki only managed a marginally more demure outfit in a black and silver mini ‘mullet’ dress with long black skirt.
With her newly dyed red hair tumbling down her shoulders, Snooki may have looked dramatic, but the diminutive star only came up to JWoww’s ample chest, despite her glittery high heels.
The evening was not without its fair share of drama,with JWoww tweeting: ‘Opening @MTV New Year’s Eve with the teleprompter going out and me and @snooki improving!!! (sic) Holy shit wild,’ she wrote.
And JWoww was clearly struggling to get over the festivities, tweeting that New Year’s day should be known as ‘National Hangover Day.’
For some of you, one of my favourite holidays started last night when you were black out drunk and passed out next to the nearest toilet!’ she added on her website. ‘Nice work. For the rest of you… good luck getting through today!! Haha!’
The pair weren’t the only famous faces celebrating New Year’s Eve activities in New York.
Jenny McCarthy was her usual outrageous self as she co-hosted Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, being swept off her feet with a kiss from soldier Benjamin Moore at the stroke of midnight.
