It has been claimed that Johnny Depp and his partner of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis, are now living ‘separate lives’.
As the Pirates of the Caribbean star mingled with his A-list friends at the Golden Globes on Sunday night, the French actress was absent from the event.
Now, insiders suggest that the long-term couple might have already split.
Recent reports indicate that their relationship has faced significant challenges for an extended period.
There have been multiple claims stating that the relationship between the pair is precarious.
According to one source, ‘Johnny isn’t managing things well at the moment.’
‘Those close to him are concerned about how Johnny is doing, as he and Vanessa appear to be in a fractured state. Their relationship is seemingly approaching its conclusion.’
Furthermore, the source mentioned that the situation between them is so dire that the Pirates of the Caribbean star is looking for legal assistance.
Allegedly, ‘Johnny has begun contacting lawyers, likely to discreetly discuss a way to exit the relationship.’
‘While they are not married, they have spent years together and have children, making the breakup complicated. Johnny is incredibly talented at acting, yet doesn’t seem able to conceal how badly things are unfolding right now.’
Reportedly, her absence at the Golden Globes was tough for Johnny to handle, according to an eyewitness who spoke to a celebrity website.
The informant remarked, ‘He kept his head down and didn’t smile. He appeared disheveled. After he finished on stage, he exited straight out the back door.’
Although they often present a united front at family events for their children, Lily-Rose, 12, and Jack, 9, sightings of them together are infrequent.
Last November, when both Johnny, 48, and Vanessa, 39, were in Paris, she did not attend the French premiere of his film, The Rum Diary.
Instead, as reported by People, she chose to go to a concert, which one source highlighted as ‘strange and very telling: You’re in town, yet you don’t attend your partner’s film premiere? One he starred in and produced?’
Additionally, she was notably absent during the Cannes Film Festival premiere of his fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film in May.
While both have been residing in LA, it is believed they are staying at different residences.
An insider revealed to the magazine that the couple, who have never married, may have been apart for several years.

Vanessa has stayed in Los Angeles with their children, who are enrolled in a private school there, while Johnny travels globally for his film projects.
During the filming of Pirates in Hawaii back in 2010, he was frequently spotted enjoying wine at local bars around Honolulu.
According to a source, ‘He would engage in conversations with girls and was very friendly and flirtatious.’
Currently, Depp is traveling to Mexico to film The Lone Ranger, while Vanessa remains at home in LA with their children once again.
The stoic French singer was seen walking through The Grove, an outdoor shopping mall in the city, on Friday – indicating she could have easily joined him at the Golden Globes.
While friends hope for reconciliation, the outlook for the once-favorable couple does not seem promising.
Despite his statement to the Daily Mail last October that he felt his life as a single man ended when he first encountered Paradis, friends claim their relationship is irreparably damaged.
‘Both are very devoted to their children, and there is hope for resolution,’ a source told the magazine, ‘but they have both undergone significant changes – a lot has shifted.’
