Jacko’s almost cleared his debts

Michael Jackson has made over $300 million since his death.

But the king of pop, who had debts of nearly $400 million when he died aged 50 in June 2009, still owes around $100 million despite the surge in profits from his music and memorabilia since his death.

The figures are revealed in new legal documents which show Jackson’s estate was being chased by more than 65 creditors. They included the taxman and the promoter of his This Is It tour, who he owed roughly $50 million.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that Jackson, who was addicted to sedatives, asked Las Vegas doctor David Adams to join him on tour as his personal anaesthetist.

His own doctor, Conrad Murray, is accused of involuntary manslaughter.
