Though it was a rare outing for her, to celebrate her younger brother Connor’s birthday, all eyes were on Isabella Cruise.
At the Hyde in the Staples Centre, the shy 19-year-old daughter of Tom Cruise was seen with an important man beside her—her new boyfriend.
The seldom-seen teenager is in a relationship with Eddie Frencher, also a Scientologist and a Beverly Hills native.
At her brother’s celebration, Isabella openly acknowledged her new boyfriend.
According to an eyewitness, ‘She introduced him as her boyfriend at her brother Connor’s 17th-birthday party.’
‘They arrived separately. She waited outside for him while holding a ticket, and then they entered together.’
Eddie, in his ‘About Myself’ section on OurSites.org, mentions: ‘My dad introduced me to Scientology. He has been a Scientologist since before I was born, so I have been a Scientologist all my life.’
Of course, the star of the day was Connor Cruise, the adopted son of Tom and Nicole Kidman.
The aspiring DJ, who is gradually making a name for himself in the LA party scene, proudly posed with his sister at the celebration at Hyde.
The two teenagers enjoyed their freedom without the presence of Cruise, 49, and their stepmother Katie Holmes, 33.
Connor arrived in a chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce Ghost for the Just Dance 3 and SBE sponsored party and had been excitedly tweeting about it all day.
He tweeted: ‘Can’t wait for the Ghost!…
‘On my way to @HydeStaples in the Rolls Royce Ghost with @djdwrek @Jonoislife and @WhoisLiam! Thank you @EmpireCLS and @MSECLS!!!! Love it.’
Excited about his party, he further tweeted: ”Ima make this shit light up. Waitin till the sun goes down.
‘Dope situation up at @HydeStaples right now!!!! This is gettin cray…..’
And indeed, it was wild as longtime friend Jamie Foxx made a guest appearance to DJ.
Connor and Isabella have been living with their father Tom since his famous divorce from their mother Nicole Kidman in 2001.
Throughout their upbringing, they have been home-schooled and followed the somewhat controversial religion of Scientology, like their father.
In a revealing interview two years ago, Nicole expressed her sorrow that their children opted to reside with their father rather than with her.
Now, Nicole divides her time between Australia, LA, and Nashville, Tennessee, along with husband Keith Urban and their two daughters, Sunday and Faith.
She shared: ‘They live with Tom, which was their choice. I would love them to live with us, but what can you do?
‘They are healthy and sane and together and are great, great people.’
Their stepmother, Katie Holmes, mentioned in a 2007 interview that Connor and Isabella refer to her as ‘mom’.
She said: ‘His first two children are incredible, really smart and kind. They call me Mom.’
