After a last-ditch attempt to salvage her marriage to Ashton Kutcher failed, Demi Moore has sought the advice of a divorce lawyer.
The actress, 48, found her marriage crumbling following claims that Kutcher had been unfaithful.
Allegedly, Kutcher, 33, engaged in sexual relations with 23-year-old Sara Leal in a hotel at the end of September, coinciding with the period when he should have been preparing to commemorate his sixth wedding anniversary with Moore.
An insider from the entertainment industry revealed: ‘Demi has felt completely humiliated. Therefore, on Friday, she sought legal counsel regarding divorce.
‘The conversation encompassed her living situation and the potential effects of a divorce on her assets. With an estimated worth of around £97 million, she and Kutcher both possess significant wealth.
‘For Demi, this is an enormous and challenging choice to make. However, her trust has been irrevocably broken.’
Before marrying Kutcher in 2005, Moore had already experienced two failed marriages with songwriter Freddy Moore and actor Bruce Willis.
The source further stated, ‘She was eager to mend their relationship.’ However, the allegations surrounding Sara Leal proved difficult for Kutcher to refute, especially given the compromising photos of him celebrating.
Reportedly, Moore consented to attend Kabbalah counseling sessions alongside Kutcher.
‘Yet, it has not been effective,’ the insider remarked. ‘She is finished with him.’
Attempts to reach Moore’s publicist for comments yielded no response, and Kevin Marks, the attorney managing her acting career, also declined to comment.
