In anticipation of his new role in the horror film Horns, Daniel Radcliffe has confessed to listening to heavy metal.
“A lot of metal is on my playlist, and I’m letting that slightly demonic rock ‘n’ roll spirit come out,” he shared. “There’s nothing else quite like it.”
In French director Alexandre Aja’s dark fantasy film, Radcliffe has the leading role as Ignatius “Ig” Perrish, a 26-year-old man who wakes up one night to discover he has acquired special powers. He unexpectedly finds that he has sprouted horns, which enable him to uncover people’s deepest secrets – only to forget the conversations that follow.
Last summer, he appeared in the video for the indie duo Slow Club’s single ‘Beginners’.
Being a devoted fan of the band, Radcliffe takes center stage in the video, portrayed staggering around an empty bar, drinking shots, and punching walls.
The band’s vocalist, Rebecca Taylor, remarked, “We were aware Daniel was a fan, which we found pretty cool. After meeting him, spending time together, and having him in our video, it’s clear he is one of the most energetic and exciting people to be around. He has shown immense dedication to making the video perfect, and we are truly in awe of that.”
She also mentioned that Radcliffe “looks like a massive babe throughout!”
