In the new drama, Taylor, 31, portrays a handsome firefighter.
Meanwhile, Gaga, 26, made an effort to promote the show’s premiere episode.
While mingling with cast and crew at the exclusive party, she encouraged her 30 million Twitter followers to watch the show.
Gaga tweeted: “My bf Taylor is on TV TONIGHT!!! for the premiere of CHICAGO FIRE. Monsters, wanna watch it with me+chat online?”
She later followed up with: “Time for bed. Thanks for watching. The cast works so hard and are great friends.x”
Her call to action seemed effective — the premiere attracted an audience of 6.4 million viewers.
Nevertheless, it fell behind in the ratings battle against Hayden Panettiere’s Nashville, which drew 9 million viewers on rival channel ABC.
Taylor and Gaga first crossed paths on the set of her music video You And I last year.
While they have kept their romance largely private, Gaga recently shared a photo of them kissing naked in a swimming pool.
Taylor opened up for the first time last month about his feelings for the singer.
