Shane Warne, the former Australian cricketer, has announced his engagement to British actress Elizabeth Hurley.
After participating in a round of golf at the Dunhill Links Championship pro-am in Scotland on Saturday, Warne stated, “Yes, I can confirm we are engaged.”
Images published in British newspapers featured Hurley displaying a prominent engagement ring while observing Warne’s game at the Kingsbarns club in eastern Scotland.
The pair has been in a relationship for 10 months now.
Warne, who stepped back from international cricket in 2007, continued playing for four seasons with the Rajasthan Royals in the lucrative Indian Premier League before ending his cricket career at the conclusion of the 2011 IPL season.
Previously, Hurley was in a long-term relationship with actor Hugh Grant for over ten years and was also married to Indian businessman Arun Nayar.
