Edward Furlong is one fucked up ex-child star

Edward Furlong, known for his role in Terminator 2, faces his second battery charge within a month.

The 35-year-old actor allegedly assaulted his girlfriend on November 21, just one day before the American Thanksgiving holiday.

Court documents reveal that he is accused of causing corporal injury leading to a traumatic condition.

So far, no arrests have been reported in relation to the incident.

On October 30, he was detained for domestic violence following a public altercation with the same girlfriend at LAX Airport in Los Angeles.

Visible marks were noted on the woman’s arm during the confrontation, and Edward’s bail was established at $50,000.

This latest episode in his tumultuous personal life follows a court ban that prohibits him from being alone with his six-year-old son after Ethan, six, tested positive for cocaine.

His ex-wife, Rachael Bella, secured a court order that barred the Terminator 2 star from unsupervised parenting.

The troubled actor appeared in court, asserting that Rachael fabricates accusations to “alienate me further from my son and destroy my ability to work.”

Despite his claims, the judge rejected Edward’s account and declined to alter the existing custody restrictions.

Following time spent with his father, Ethan tested positive for the class A drug cocaine.

How the young boy came into contact with the drug remains unclear.

Edward has a well-documented history of substance abuse that has hindered his once-promising acting career.

He has declared himself financially broke, struggled with alcoholism and drugs, been hospitalized due to a suspected heroin overdose, and has faced multiple arrests for various offenses.

Due to these issues, Edward, who has sought rehabilitation several times, has consistently found himself in legal complications over the years.

His tumultuous personal history includes being sued by an ex-girlfriend, 14 years his senior, for ‘assault’, as well as facing divorce proceedings from ex-wife Rachael Bella, who also issued a restraining order against him.

This restraining order was granted after Rachael, who initiated divorce proceedings in July 2009 after their three-year marriage, told the court that Edward repeatedly drove by her house.

She further alleged that he once threatened to take his own life and refused to undergo a drug test when she requested one during a custody dispute.

In August, the father-of-one claimed he was victim to a robbery in Los Angeles after asking a passerby for directions in the notorious, drug-infested area of Skid Row.

Although no weapons were involved, Furlong surrendered his wallet before the assailant fled the scene.

Edward reached the pinnacle of his career with American History X (opposite Edward Norton in 1998), which was followed by less notable roles in The Green Hornet and a direct-to-DVD remake of Night Of The Demons.

However, his upcoming project, The Zombie King, is set to be released soon, with Edward starring alongside fellow former child star Corey Feldman in this horror comedy.
