Victoria Beckham lives on a diet of steamed fish and raw vegetables, and can easily slip into a size six dress — but she has bizarrely claimed her super-slim figure matches that of the AVERAGE woman.
The former Spice Girl believes she represents the general public.
Years of dieting have made Victoria one of the leanest women in Hollywood — despite recently giving birth to her fourth child by soccer star hubby David.
She showed off her toned body in a series of new swimwear shots for Harpers Bazaar magazine.
And the fashion designer is so convinced her tiny physique is the norm that she has replaced models with her own body when it comes to fitting dresses for her clothes line.
She now bases every outfit on her own measurements, draping the fabric over her hips and bust before deciding on a style for the item.
In a Harpers interview, she said: “We always joke that we have this fabulously gorgeous 17-year-old model who is six-foot-whatever and I say, ‘OK, I’m going to put it on — I stand for the general public here.’
“It’s how I work. I found it really difficult when I was pregnant and I couldn’t do that.
“It’s part of the process. I’ll stand here in my knickers and start draping fabric over myself.”
The star snacks on edamame beans and frozen grapes to relieve hunger — while her favourite drink is a glass of champagne, also low on calories.
At a meal to celebrate the 150th anniversary of fashion label Burberry in 2006, telly chef Jamie Oliver revealed that Victoria swapped the full roast dinner on offer for a plate of salad.
She said: “I’m quite obsessed with Tilda. I find her intriguing, very stylish, she clearly understands fashion.”
