So excited was he about his Royal wedding invitation yesterday that he shared a video on Facebook to express his feelings.
Now, David Beckham is on his way to London for the significant occasion.
Permitted by his U.S. club, the Los Angeles Galaxy, to attend the event on Friday, the footballer arrived with his wife Victoria and their three children at LAX airport this afternoon, with each boy carrying his own iPad.
Even though David expressed his excitement about the upcoming nuptials yesterday, he appeared rather somber as the family entered the terminal.
In contrast, Victoria looked thrilled to be back in her homeland and took to Twitter to share her joy, stating, ‘London looks beautiful!!! we are so proud to be British!’
David, who will celebrate his 36th birthday next week, along with 37-year-old Victoria, is bringing their three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz for their trip home, though the children do not have invitations to the wedding.
Just the day before, David shared his enthusiasm regarding his friend Prince William’s wedding to Kate Middleton.
The invitation was sent to the couple after David grew close to Prince William while working together on England’s unsuccessful World Cup 2018 bid.
In a video he posted on Facebook, Beckham expressed his excitement for the event.
‘When I received my OBE, I took my nan and granddad to Buckingham Palace. Their pride was overwhelming. It holds great significance for them. My granddad devoted himself to the country, and they took immense pride in that.
‘They raised me, my sisters, and my mum with a love for the Royal Family, and to witness there being one (a Royal Wedding) now is thrilling.’
For the big day, David and Victoria are traveling in from Los Angeles, while recent reports suggest that designer Victoria is anxious about her attire.
Although some reports claimed that Victoria Beckham had contemplated as many as 11 dresses for the wedding, friends of the star have informed the Mail that Mrs. Beckham, who is seven months pregnant, has adapted one of her own dresses for the occasion.
They assert that this was her plan all along after receiving the invitation.
A spokesperson informed MailOnline, ‘Victoria will don a dress from her own AW11 collection for the wedding, paired with a Philip Treacy hat and customized Louboutin shoes created in collaboration with Christian.’
Instead of a wedding gift, David and Victoria will be contributing to William and Catherine’s Wedding Charity.

Beckham continued, ‘I grew up around the Royal Family and fostered a love for them through my granddad and nan.
