Despite rarely receiving accolades for her fashion sense or being featured on the world’s best-dressed list, Courtney Love has nonetheless decided to launch her own fashion line.
The vintage enthusiast and Hole frontwoman describes her collection as ‘repurposed Edwardian, Victorian with an edge’.
She offered a glimpse of the range to her Twitter followers by sharing images of model Chloe Norgaard showcasing the designs during a photo shoot for Contributor magazine.
Her collection, named Never The Bride, is described as ‘the type of attire I would don if I were young enough to avoid looking like Bette Davis in “Whatever Happened After Baby Jane?”‘
The line includes flapper-style dresses and embellished tops, paired with jewelry and boots that reflect a grunge aesthetic connected to the 48-year-old artist, who was previously married to late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.
Renowned for her controversial behavior as a rock star, the mother-of-one continues to embody her reputation through her clothing line.
‘Each dress features a ruby embedded in the hem, inscribed with the word cunt,’ she expressed with pride.
Courtney has spent four years developing her clothing line and is eager to make it available for purchase; however, confirmation from the online store about being stockists is still pending.
