This month’s AnOther Magazine features Cate Blanchett on its cover, where she discusses her film career and reflects on many movies she has made that went unseen!
Here’s an excerpt from the magazine:
Cate mentioned: “I have this recurring theme in films where I often die. I recently realized that I seem to die on my birthday quite a bit. For instance, I portrayed an Irish journalist named Veronica Guerin in a film that only about two and a half people watched — typically, only two to three people see my films — and I was filming a scene on a highway in which she gets shot, coincidentally on my birthday. The following year, I had another filming experience where I got beaten up, again on my birthday. Later on, I worked with David Fincher in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, where I also died on my birthday, in a hospital bed — and that was quite a relief.”
