In an attempt to reclaim the spotlight from her stunning co-star, Brooklyn Decker, Jennifer Aniston made a bold move.
At 42, the actress has frequently found herself overshadowed by the 23-year-old Sports Illustrated model during their promotional journey for the new film, Just Go With It.
However, during their recent promotional event in Spain, the former Friends star debuted a fresh hairstyle to draw attention back to herself.
Aniston sported a sleek bob, having cut her long hair ahead of various press engagements in Madrid.
She showcased her new look while posing at a photocall at the Villamanga Hotel in the company of her co-star Adam Sandler.
Later, she changed into a chic little black dress before joining Decker, who had opted for a lovely floral dress on the red carpet.
This is not the first time Jennifer has opted for a shorter hairstyle.
Shortly after tying the knot with Brad Pitt in 2000, she also embraced a similar short cut.
Recently, Jennifer expressed her confusion over the overwhelming attention her Friends haircut garnered.
Known as “The Rachel,” named after her character on the beloved sitcom, the style remained a trend for years, despite the actress donning the layered look only for the show’s first two seasons.
‘How do I say this? I think it was the ugliest haircut I’ve ever seen,’ she reflected in the February edition of US magazine Allure. ‘What I really want to know is, how did that thing have legs?’
The iconic cut was initially crafted by Aniston’s longtime hairstylist Chris McMillan, who continues to work with her today.
‘I love Chris but he’s the bane of my existence because he started that damn Rachel,’ she added.
Currently, Jennifer is touring Europe to promote Just Go With It alongside Adam Sandler and Brooklyn Decker.
The movie, which also features Nicole Kidman and Dave Matthews, revolves around a man convincing his devoted assistant to act as his soon-to-be ex-wife to cover up a lie he told to his younger girlfriend.
The film has already premiered in the US and will soon be released in Australia.
