Amy Winehouse is a proper banker

Amy Winehouse is quite literally laughing all the way to the bank.

The singer battled repeated fits of giggles on stage in Rio De Janiero on Monday.

The Rehab star is being paid $7 million for five gigs in Brazil, her first full live shows since 2008.

And she had a whale of a time at the HSBC Arena, barely getting a word out as she nervously wobbled around the mic and shared a joke with her bandmates.

Some of the biggest acts in the world have performed in Brazil in the past year in exchange for a small fortune.

Sir Paul McCartney, Beyonce, Bon Jovi and Coldplay have all enjoyed a slice of the pie.

Chris Martin and the boys will be returning in October for the Rock In Rio festival and will be joined on the bill by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Amy hasn’t released a new record for almost half a decade now, so these gigs will give her a chance to prove she deserves a place on the world stage.

She’s already got her idol Tony Bennett desperate to duet with her.

The caner and the US crooner met when he played the Royal Albert Hall last year.

He said, “We’re working on partnering up to record a duet but it’s still in the works.”
